Mid-Atlantic Charming Inns & Itineraries Karen Brown's Guides 2003 Edition The Inn at Easton Gems of little inns are like rare jewels - they are hard to find and once found most surely are to be enjoyed for what they offer the traveler in terms of rest and comfort. This one not only has all that going for it but also boasts a restaurant of uncommon quality - small and intimately decorated, painted in warm and invigorating colors, a room in which the artwork (for sale) is spetacularly beautiful. The menus certainly suggest that dining here would be wonderful and the growing acclaim of the restaruant is surely well deserved. The seven bedrooms boast, and I mean boast, of linens that are not only a visual feast but also of a quality that one reads about but seldome experiences. (If you wish, you may purchase the wonderful 406-count lines, which are imported from Italy.) There's nothing here that has escaped the attention of the owners, including elements carefully planned and executed as that in the common rooms and dining room- it's fresh and warm and visually exciting. The artwork throughout the bedrooms complements the rooms and you can purchase it also. The formula here works wonderully, from the 1790 Federal mansion to the inn to the restaruant to the owners. The town of Easton with all its attractions is within a few minutes' walk. |
